Today is Sunday.

Until this particular Sunday, I did not take note of what an amazing day this is.

Sure, it is commonly referred to as the Sabath Day due to it's religious overtone, but to me it is much more. Sunday, well this Sunday especially and hopefully many more after this, will be used in part, as a day of reflecting for me.

While I woke up anticipating getting ready to go to church, my travel partner was ill and stayed home. I stayed home as well. As I sit here, I think I am going to watch today's sermon online later this evening. At the very least, I will not have gone the entire day without hearing the word.

My church on Easter Sunday 2010
I guess I have learned to worship in various manners through my 25 years. I am confident in my relationship with the man upstairs though. I trust him and forgive myself and this attitude has carried me through many storms.

I wanted to share a picture of me that was taken in the backseat of my Mom's Volvo, on the way to my Grandma's Home-going, roughly 3 Mays ago.

I sang His Eye Is On the Sparrow in honor of her memory. I remember making a checklist this particular day because I was commuting from school to the funeral, which was about 2 hours away from my school. On it, I wrote "Rejoice and Celebrate for Grandma!" My Grandma was the type of woman who would have wanted it that way. A time to rejoice and celebrate her life and time with us.

As I have decided to dedicate at least a portion of my Sundays to Personal Reflection, I am happy to share my overall happiness today. More than just happy, I am content. Sure, I wish my hair was longer, circa 2007, when these photos were taken and I was reclaiming my 'natural' hair.But, through it all. Good and bad times. One thing has remained constant: can you guess what?

Ciao =D
